George Neil Scott personally inspects every property himself and is a licensed, full-time home inspector and has been since 1996.  Free consultation, for as long as you own the home we inspect, is provided with every inspection.  Detailed and easy to understand reports are ready at the end of your home inspection with extra copies provided for your use and distribution.  Radon and water testing results are released as soon as they are received by our office.

Your Home Inspection

A very thorough, objective, and honest inspection is performed by Neil Scott on the date and time you have scheduled the appointment with our office. Our home inspections are reasonably priced based on the square footage of the home we are inspecting.  Digital photographs may be taken during an inspection when necessary for clarification purposes.

Radon in Air Testing

All homes should be tested for the presence of radon gas in the air.  The biggest danger known to us is that radon gas has been directly linked to lung cancer and various other types of cancer according to the Environmental Protection Agency.  Scott and Scott Inc. offers full service radon in air testing using electronic radon canisters.  Radon in air, when set at the time of the inspection includes set up and pick up by Scott and Scott Inc., and use of a local laboratory for quick processing results. We notify you as soon as we receive the testing results. Radon in air testing can be done separately from home inspections also.

Radon in Water Testing

We offer full service radon in water testing.  Each sample is collected by Neil Scott and processed at our local laboratory for quick results.

Well Water Analysis and Lead in Your Drinking Water Analysis

We offer a full well water analysis detailing the chemical content of the well water, bacteria, volatile organic compounds, and lead in your drinking water.

Other Services and Testing

Carbon Monoxide testing is included in the inspection fee (if applicable).  Suspect materials that resemble such substances as mold or asbestos insulation, and possible environmental issues will be noted in the report if/where observed. When mold or asbestos are found in a home, they need to be properly removed by state certified or licensed professionals.

A separate pest (wood destroying insect) inspection can be arranged by our office upon your request and will be performed by a state licensed exterminator with a separate report provided upon completion of this inspection.
